GridRadar

A networked, multi-function, digital power meter and contactor for Micro-Grid. This is a low cost hardware platform for use in organizations that could not justify the high cost of a classic BMS. An integrated hardware/software solution that provides the essential capabilities required to control and optimize energy usage at a fraction of the cost of an integrated BMS, enabling the 95% of facilities that lack systems.

GridRadar offers true power metering & measurement plus relay to control the load. A typical applications include energy monitoring, sub-metering, demand management, and Automated Demand Response (ADR).

Networking the GridRadar is easy. A simple twisted-pair connection links all devices together into a dependable LONWORKS network. In addition, a LONWORKS gateway provides network access via the Internet. Measurements transmitted over the network as Standard Network Variable Types (SNVTs). EASE OF USE and economy of installation were key design criteria. The GridRadar compact size permits installation inside of most electrical service panels and junction boxes. Detachable screw terminals make wiring a snap. GridRadar is ideal for monitoring motors and pumps controlled by variable speed drives or loads with switching power supplies.
